Cloud-Native API Platform Delivery

Delivery of a highly secure, high-throughput, microservices-based API platform processing over 15 million daily transaction requests securely.

The Challenge

The client needed to modernise its legacy API backend to support international third-party integrations under open banking regulations. The existing system suffered from high latency overhead, lack of scalability under peak loads, and slow deployment cycles. In addition, the platform had to comply with strict PCI-DSS and PSD2 security policies, requiring dynamic authorization checks and continuous Shift-Left security validation.

The Solution

Mochikabu designed and engineered a cloud-native API platform based on a containerized service mesh. We implemented an API Gateway with automated token caching, segregated service boundaries, and real-time observability metrics. A Shift-Left CI/CD pipeline was introduced to perform automated vulnerability scans on every code change, while circuit breaker patterns secured backend service stability under heavy loads.
